Tonight was a great night!
First - the munchkins had a Halloween Parade at their daycare. Both Jake and Ollie had a costume for daycare and a costume for the evening. Jake wore a Buzz Lightyear costume for the daycare parade, and Olivia wore a lion.
For our nighttime outing, Jake wore his Captain America costume, and Olivia wore a Little Red Riding Hood costume. Sara was Thing 22 (instead of Thing 1 or Thing 2) ... and Kelly was a nerd :)
This year, Jake was a little more in tune with what was happening. We would walk up to a door and Jake would ring the doorbell. We would patiently wait for a person to answer the door. Once the nice neighbor would greet us, we would prompt the kids to say "Trick or Treat". Of course, they were a little too shy to say anything. Sometimes, we'd get Jake to say "Thank You". Once the candy was in the bucket, Jake would say (and pretty loudly, too) "Next house, Daddy!" :) So we're still working on our Halloween etiquette - but considering they are both under the age of 3, they did a great job.
Here is a Halloween album I put together. We took some great pictures :)
Enjoy!
